Europe’s Biofuels Value Chain sends message to EU energy ministers: Set higher ambitions for renewable energy use in transport

ePURE is part of a group of seven industry associations representing Europe’s Biofuels Value Chain that have called on EU energy ministers to set higher ambitions for renewable energy use in transport. The call is one of several guiding principles that should be taken into account as the EU considers the post-2020 EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED II), which is being discussed 27 February in Brussels. The associations also called on EU ministers to ensure policy continuity by not lowering the contribution of conventional biofuels to the share of renewables in EU transport.
