A new study confirms that a high percentage of cars with internal combustion engines will still be on Europe’s roads for decades. That means Europe would benefit significantly from the use of low-carbon fuels such as renewable ethanol to decarbonise road transport.

Renewable European ethanol delivers significant greenhouse gas savings over fossil fuels, and works in today's vehicle fleet and infrastructure. That's why the EU shouldn’t ignore the contribution of sustainable biofuels like renewable ethanol in the effort to reduce harmful emissions.
